Richard Carden from Reaseheath College, Sam Birks from Bishop Burton College, and Robert Wylie, Dean Thomson, Jonathan Buchanan and Ronan McLarnon from CAFRE have just 18 hours over three days to make a design by Alexandra Froggatt into a real garden.
They will be scored on a range of landscaping skills including planning and marking out, hard landscape features, timber work and plants and turf.
The six won their places after competing in qualifiers at RHS Tatton Park in July. The UK final winners get the chance to become part of the UK team at the international World Skills event in Brazil next year.
Judges for the competition include garden designer and company owner Jody Lidgard, award winning APL member Rod Winrow from Garden House Design and 2011 WorldSkillsUK Silver medal winner Simon Abbott.
Organising partner the Association of Professional Landscapers is also hosting a showcase area where visitors can view landscaping demonstrations and try out planting their own border, with the best winning a prize.

The 2014 WorldSkills UK Landscape Gardening winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the show on Saturday evening.
