The Talasey Training Academy (TTA) has begun to roll out courses at Talasey’s Doncaster headquarters.

Talasey Group, which was recently named as one of the London Stock Exchange Group's 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain, has designed the courses to support a wide range of industry professionals, from college students and installers to designers and landscape architects and customer-facing staff in builders’ merchants who want to develop their skills and gain industry knowledge.

The courses on offer cover how to install, maintain, and get the most out of a wide range of landscaping products in domestic applications including natural stone, clay, and porcelain paving systems, plus resin bound aggregate systems and artificial turf. Basic site setting out and preparation will also be covered.

Each course aims to equip contractors, designers, specifiers and architects with the information and know-how for getting the most out of landscaping products in order to deliver high quality landscapes to their end users. They are designed to be delivered in a responsive training style in order to suit each participant at any stage in their career.

Talasey Group is also an official training supplier of the UK’s landscaping team for WorldSkills 2019. The UK team is currently being trained at the TTA by Simon Abbott, WorldSkills UK training manager for landscape gardening. who will select the final team to compete in Russia in 2019.

TTA training administrator Hannah Mounsey said: "We saw a growing need for a body of accredited courses to further support the future of our industry, and as a result the TTA was born.

"These courses are designed to keep landscaping professionals up to date with the latest trends and developments in the industry, particularly in products and installation ideas, empowering them to bring their future projects to life with maximum impact."

The courses are being delivered by a team of experienced trainers with installer backgrounds.

TTA trainer Andrew Booth said: "Our aim is to deliver interactive courses that are both theoretical and practical that will enable attendees to stay abreast of the latest trends and developments within the sector while also bolstering their professional development."

Additionally, ongoing advice and support is provided to delegates following course completion through the Academy, as well the opportunity to become a member of the Talasey Group Landscaping Professionals, which provides access to member benefits including marketing support, and promotional goodies.

Talasey Group also plans to provide further training opportunities in the future at different locations throughout the UK.
