Those who are successful will benefit from a range of support from funding to study tours and work experience.
Among the sponsored scholarships are:
- The British Protected Ornamentals Association - Peter Seabrook Bursary of £5,000 spread over five years to a student or students studying commercial horticulture.
- The Floranova Ornamental Horticulture Research Scholarship of £1,500 offering additional work experience for a student who is keen to pursue a research career in the horticultural industry.
- The Ball Colegrave Scholarship of £2,500 to enable travel to Europe in order to develop experience in bedding plant production and marketing.
- The DCF Sponsored Scholarships follow the Student Scholarships which received a record number of applications this year. Fifteen colleges across the UK put forward students from which five have been awarded £1,000 each by the David Colegrave Foundation (DCF).
