The apprenticeship combines on the job horticultural training with recognised qualifications while earning a salary over an average of three years. Many of its graduates go on to permanent jobs in the eight London Royal Parks or other locations.
They will be based at one of London's Royal Parks four days a week, and study at college for the remaining day.
TRP head of park services Dennis Clarke said the apprenticeships were designed around the aspirations and ability of the apprentices.
"We take great pride in helping shape the park managers of tomorrow and our record speaks for itself when it comes to apprentices securing full-time employment after graduation.
"The Royal Parks offer apprentices access to an wide range of horticultural, landscape and arboricultural features across a varied collection of parks and gardens. These provide world class venues for practical learning, alongside formal training."
Final year apprentice based at St James’s Park Verity Joyner said she hasn’t looked back since she secured her role.
"Helping maintain one of the country’s busiest and most famous parks gives me a lot of job satisfaction and I’ve been involved in some great projects such as growing plants for the London Marathon winner’s podiums on The Mall in St James’s Park."
