Ground Control awarded contract by Cardiff University

The three-year deal is has a reported value total of £1,026,182 (excluding VAT).

Billericay (Essex)-based Ground Control team in Cardiff beat 8 competitors to win the contract which includes the management and maintenance of Cardiff University’s green spaces and associated facilities.

Under the tender they will provide: “clean, tidy and well-maintained grounds that reflect Cardiff University’s need and good horticultural and environmental practices. All work shall consequently be carried out and timed in such a way as to leave the whole of each site in a well maintained and tidy condition at all times.”

Work will cover academic building curtilage, open spaces, natural sites, and sports facility curtilage. Student main residencies and student houses’ enclosed gardens, access roads, car parks and pathways – as well as areas of special environmental interest.

The procurement value, according to the Government’s Find a Tender website, is £513,091.
