Grow careers day set for Pershore in March

The Grow careers initiative is to hold a Grow Careers Day at Pershore College in March.

Start time: 10.30
End time: 14.30 (time available afterwards for networking)
 
Details: Guest speakers from all sectors of the horticulture industry will give short presentations about different aspects of the industry. Invited are; 14-16’s from a range of local schools; the local careers service as well as current students enrolled on Level 2, Level 3 and Higher Education Horticulture courses at Pershore College. In addition, anyone who would like to attend should email me at douglasmackay@live.com to register their interest. After the presentations there will be a break for lunch with a range of food available to purchase from the college refectory and an opportunity for networking.
 
Lunch will be followed by discussion sessions with the speakers and other horticulture professionals which will be an opportunity to find out about more information about the areas covered in the presentations. Tea and coffee will also be served during the event.
 
After the main event finishes at 2.30pm, there will be a further opportunity to network with the speakers and find out about the horticultural organisations represented at the event.
Tours will also be arranged for those who wish to see the Pershore College campus.
For anyone who wishes to stay, the Institute of Horticulture, West Midlands and South Wales Branch  Regional Final of the Young Horticulturist of the Year Competition will be at 7pm.
