Mark Gilbert, the garden centre’s sales director, said: "Luke’s interest in the horticultural side of the business came at the time when the plant area has been growing steadily and so we saw this as an excellent opportunity to turn his passion into a career. His success also helps us to underpin the core of the garden centre."
Gibbs started at the Tates of Sussex-run garden centre as a part time weekend member of the plant area team and after completing his course he is soon to become a full time member of the team.
