He said as an operational emergency responder with St John Ambulance, a volunteer with the LAS and a first responder for the Football Association at Wembley Stadium "this is brilliant".

Arrigo, who is exhibiting with Seeds of Italy at Four Oaks, added: "I am the person first on scene before the ambulance every time and initiatives like this prevent casualties, well done.

He said: "It's so good to see the blood pressure checks and I will be sending everyone over! I have high blood pressure too, controlled with simple drugs. We call it the silent killer."

On 11 September Arrigo has been nominated for an 'Extraordinary Achievement Award' by 'Harrow  Heroes'.

The free blood pressure checks at Four Oaks with Perennial and NHS are offered at the 3-4 September show in Cheshire.
